The family line

Started in Winton. Still going strong.

Out west, where the contracts came by word of mouth and the work spoke for itself. That's still how a lot of it works.

House raising, renovations, custom homes and commercial work across North and Western Queensland — Townsville became home base, and the west stayed home ground.

Today, Building Our Next Generation Patrick and Reiannan — same name, same approach

Over 50 years on, it's still 100% family-owned and operated — now run by Patrick and Reiannan Kenna, in amongst raising their three sons. Same name on the gate, same approach to the work.

The third generation is a work in progress: for now the boys are far more interested in the machines than the paperwork.

How it runs

Still owner-led. Still accountable.

Patrick isn't on the tools much these days. He manages the projects closely, working alongside the foreman on site — so he's still the one you talk to, and the one responsible for the outcome. No layer of project managers or sales staff between you and the builder.

  • Consistent crew

The same experienced tradespeople and subbies, project to project.

  • Owner-managed

Patrick works alongside the site foreman and stays across the detail — not managing from a distance.

  • Straight answers

You know who to call, and you get a straight answer — not a runaround.

Builds from Townsville across North and Western Queensland — about 650 kilometres by road along the route shown.

Where we build

Townsville is home. The west is where we grew up.

TownsvilleHome base · est. 1972
via Charters Towers
Hughenden≈ 380 km
Richmond≈ 495 km
Julia Creek≈ 650 km

Distance changes the logistics. Not the standard.

The work has always gone further than Townsville. You can't improvise supply chains, trade scheduling or site access from 600 kilometres away — we've been doing it long enough to know what matters, across the region and remote. Distances shown are approximate road kilometres from Townsville.
